Why i can not change …

Why can’t I reach my goals? Meet Alex and James, two individuals from lower-class families with dreams of playing in the NBA, (National Basketball Assocation.) Despite their social and financial difficulties. The more privelleged players on the team seemed to have more advantages, further intensifying the challenges for Alex and James. Alex suffered from cognitive dissonance, he felt like an underdog who couldn’t escape. He viewed the advantages of the more privelleged players as disadvantges for him. These  insurmountable barriers lead to a negative mindset. These insecurites forced him back into his comfort zone. Despite being a great player, his insecurites conviced  him that he could not attain success in the NBA. This mindset lead to Alex eventually giving up on his dreams, settling for a less ambitious path. On the other hand. James, although he was faced the same social and financial struggles, approached the cognitive dissonance in a different manner. He viewed the advantages of the wealthier players not as barriers but as challenges that he needed to overcome. James used the discomfort as fuel for motivation, turning adversity into an opportunity for growth. Rather than retreating to  his comfort zone, he forced himself to step  out of it and instead, actively seeked ways to improve his skills, build connections, and showcase his potential. Unlike Alex, James embraced his dissonance, using his disadvatages as a chance to prove himself and reshape his future. How to Fix and Foster Positive Change? 1.Mindset shift: Recognize that challenges and discomfort are part of the growth process and adopt a growth mindset that sees obstacles as opportunities for learning and improvement not barriers. 2.Goal reframing: Break down ambitious goals into smaller, more manageable steps. This makes the journey seem less overwhelming and helps in maintaining focus and motivation 3.Seek Support: Build a support network of mentors, peers, and friends who can provide guidance, encouragement, and constructive feedback. 4.Embrace Discomfort: Understand that discomfort is a natural part of the journey toward success. Instead of avoiding it, use it as a driving force for positive change. 5.Continuous Learning: Develop a habit of continuous learning and improvement. Acquire new skills, stay informed about industry trends, and be adaptable to change.
